Story: The Multiverse. A set of possible universes like ours, but not quite the same. Different choices, different events, infinite possible "what-if" scenerios. This is a tale of one of them. Dr. Kabuto and Dr. Saotome were researchers at the International Research Center. In order to overcome a roadblock in his research, Dr. Kabuto approached Dr. Saotome for his assistance. Kabuto, working on producing stronger alloy materials that are still flexible when not required, asked for Saotome's expertise in electrical systems. He theorized that if he could produce an alloy that hardened when a charge was run across it, then he would have the alloy he desired. Getter Energy is produced by running a simple electrical charge through a sheet of Japanium, resulting in a massive multiplication in effective energy, something considered to be completly impossible. This energy is hard to control, so it is usually produced and then released. If necessary, some of the energy can be "siphoned" off of the resulting blast and converted back into regular electricity and stored for later use. The Japo-Get Drive works on this principle. Since Getter Energy is too hard to control, the Drive consists of a number of high-capacity batteries that store the workable energy. Once the batteries start to get low, the Drive runs a portion of it through a sheet of Japanium contained in an energy absorbing housing. The amount used is negligable, however keeping the system stable while the massive influx of Getter Energy is trapped and converted uses a large amount of stored power: As a general rule, most Japo-Get Drives are programmed to recharge at 25% capacity, though usually only 10% capacity is required to keep all systems stable. Because all available energy is being used to keep the raging Getter Energy under check, the device being powered by the Japo-Get Drive cannot function unless it is connected to an external power source. Shift Chogokin Armor is a strong, sturdy material that is capable of withstanding large amounts of stress without breaking or buckling. However, when you apply a charge to the armor, it becomes capable of vibrating in such a way as to negate large amounts of impact force. The only downside is that the armour must have previously been struck by the object before it can "know" the frequencies required to negate the damage. Successive blows can increase the potency of the counter-frequency, though it can only go so far: After a certain point, the frequency cannot be refined any further. These vibrations are effective not only against physical attacks, but also against weapons based on Getter Energy. After Saotome betrayed the IRC and stole the secrets to the Japo-Get Drive to use in his plans of world domination, Kabuto knew that he was the only one who could stop him, so he used his newest development, Shift Chogokin Armor, to build 2 robots to stop Saotome's Mecha Suits. Different choices, different events, infinite possible "what-if" scenerios. This is a tale of one of them. Getter Energy. An amazing power obtained by running a simple electric charge through the newly discovered alloy, Japanium. After discovering the secrets of Getter Energy at the International Research Center, Dr. Saotome stole the technology and is now using it to wage war on the planet. The only thing that can stop his hoardes of Mecha Suits are the Freedom and Justice Mazingers made by Saotome's former colleague, Dr. Kabuto. But will they be enough? Freedom Mazinger Armor Material: Shift Chogokin Armor Height: 18 meters Weight: 30 tons Pilot(s): Kouji Kabuto Creator(s): Dr. Juzo Kabuto Description: One of the 2 Mazingers built by Dr. Kabuto, Freedom Mazinger was entrusted to his son, Kouji. Powered by the Japo-Get Drive and protected by the experimental Shift Chogokin Armor, Freedom Mazinger is capable of defending against the attacks of Saotome's Mecha Suits. However, the Freedom Mazinger wasn't initially built to fly, and Saotome quickly exploited this weekness. To correct this, Dr. Yumi, another researcher at the International Research Center built large flight packs called "Great Boosters" for Freedom and Justice Mazinger, which also contained a few more weapons. With this, Freedom Mazinger was able to take on any of Saotome's Mecha Suits. While the amount of energy required to power the Japanium plates for many of it's weapons is insignifigant, Freedom Mazinger requires far more energy to sustain the containment fields that keeps the Getter Energy from shooting back into the frame and causing massive internal damage. Getter Calamity Armor Material: Shift Chogokin Armor Height: 50.0 meters Weight: 330 tons Pilot(s): Ryoma Nagare, Benkei, Hayato Jin Creator(s): Dr. Saotome Description: Angered by his continual defeats, and the uselessness of his AIs, Saotome built a piloted Mecha Suit. But not just any Mecha Suit, this one would combine the powers of 3 pilots, able to change forms as needed to suit the situation, and overwhem the Mazingers. He called it Getter Calamity. And to pilot it, Saotome broke 3 of the most dangerous criminals in the world out of prison. Getter Calamity is comprised of 3 forms. The first, Getter Calamity itself, is the main attacker of the forms. Capable of flight, Getter Calamity can descend on it's opponent with a variety of deadly weapons. One of which is the deadly Getter Beam Cannon, a fearsome weapon that uses raw, raging Getter Energy, barely controlled by containment fields. The energy that would have gone into the containment fields goes right into the Japanium for the cannon. This sort of suicide weapon is perfect for Ryoma Nagare, an insane killer who brutally slaughtered hundreds of people across the world before finally being caught. And if that wasn't a crazy enough weapon, the whole body of the Getter Calamity is interspaced with Japanium plates, which can all be charged to turn the Getter Calamity into a raging inferno of Getter Energy. Attacks/Abilities: Getter Razor: Small blades on the sides of Getter Calamity's arms which can be used to slash at nearby foes. Getter Sabers: 2 large "swords" which use a containment field to form a "blade" of Getter Energy. When the sword strikes something, the containment field is released, causing the Getter Energy to shoot into the target. Saber Boomerang: The swords can be combined and tossed like a boomerang. Getter Schlag: Shoulder cannons which fire focused shots of Getter Energy. Getter Beam Cannon: Very powerful Getter Energy cannon mounted in Getter Calamity's torso. Shine Spark: By powering the Japanium plates interspaced across Getter Calamity's body, it can engulf itself in Getter Energy. Getter Calamity then charges towards the enemy and uses a containment field to launch the Getter Energy towards the target. Getter Change Attack: A fearsome coordination attack between all of the pilots of Getter Calamity. They first transform to Getter Forbidden, who engulfs the targets in a powerful Getter Cyclone. It then transforms to Getter Raider, who then procedes to pummel the helpless enemies with Getter Hammer. Finally they change to Getter Calamity who blasts them with a full power Getter Beam Cannon. Open Get: The pilots of Getter Calamity are highly trained in being able to seperate and recombine their Getter Machines that they can dodge attacks by sperating just before the attack hits, and recombining to counterattack. They can also change forms seemingly instantaniously, allowing a different form to handle attacks it's best suited for. When using it's Mach Special ability it's capable of moving so fast that it leaves after-images that can confuse attackers. While the weapons of the Getter Raider are not as strong as the other forms, it's speed more then makes up for it, allowing Getter Raider to strike from multiple angles before the opponent can even move. Hayato, a worldwide terrorist known for hit and run tactics, makes deadly use of the Getter Raider's speed. Attacks/Abilities: Getter Claw: A claw with a sawblade on it to help dig into the target's armor. Getter Machine Gun: A small machinegun used for harrassing targets.
