[b]Gatling Cannons:[/b] The early JAM fighters mounted a gatling cannon more powerful then the standard ones found on FAF fighters at the time.
[b]JAM Missiles:[/b] Standard JAM fighters are capable of carrying up to 6 of the JAM's special anti-air missiles, which are more powerful then the standard FAF ones.

[b]Technical and Historical Notes[/b]

The first JAM units that came through the dimensional portal were later classified as "Type 1" JAMs. Type 1s were not transformable, remaining in a fighter like mode. However they were still highly mobile, and their weapon systems were more powerful then anything used on Earth at the time. Type 1s were quickly replaced by the Type 2s, though many Type 1s are still found during battles on Fairy.
