In a far off planet, one inhabited by man, there was a very large war. This war involved the people of the land and the people of the air and was a war that had been going on for so long that the people were merely fighting for the sake of fighting. One man wanted to end this fighting, and he used his know-how to unite the people of the sky and create a war factory capable of creating a weapon that would end the war once and for all. Eventually, the Autonomous War Fortress Nursery was created. Designed with a minimal AI, Nursery was designed to be able to preserve itself when needed, create armies of robotic soldiers on its own, and act as an impenetrable sanctuary should the need arise. Operating at full swing, the man who created Nursery used its facilities to further his research by creating Reminisce. Designed to be the weapon to end the war, Reminisce was given a mission to annhilate what she could of the land's military. She was 1/4th away from destroying their entire military. While the people of they sky were overjoyed at the ladn's surrender and their victory, Reminisce's creator only shuddered as he came upon the realization as to exactly what he had created. He sealed up Reminisce and began working away on Reminisce's sister unit, Applica, as well as designing a proper AI for the two as he felt that creating emotionless and unfeeling weapons that could cause destruction on such a high level would only ultimately result in the fall of man. His fears were not unfounded, as the fortress Nursery soon turned against its creator, sending massed robotic troops to attack colonies and military fortifications. Not having any time to spare, Reminisce's creator had the mostly complete Applica sealed away deep underground in an old enemy base. He then entrusted the now concious Reminisce with Applica's startup data as well as the programs she'd need to fight Nursery while he hid with the rest of humanity in shelters. Eventually meeting up with Applica deep underground, Reminisce was blown away to a remote sector by Applica upon her startup. Working their way from deep underground to Nursery itself, Applica and Reminisce met up again just before Nursery's core. However, Nursery had expected the two and sent out Re/DO, a android similar to Reminisce with the intent of wiping out the remainder of humanity. Giving Applica the "Spear of Light" program, a weapon with unrivaled power, Reminisce made her way towards Nursery's core while Applica went to destroy Re/DO. Applica succeeded in her task, destroying Re/DO before it could cause any substantial damage, but Applica had spent most of her internal energy in the process, and the resulting explosion from Re/DO's defeat caused a warp in space that sent her hurtling through the atmosphere of an unknown planet far away. Reminisce had not been so lucky, as after she had disabled Nursery's primary defensive systems, a feat that also drained Reminisce of most of her power, Nursery engaged a last-ditch program that teleported Reminisce away as well, similarly through the atmosphere of an unfamiliar planet. It has been months since then, and Applica is still MIA. In the meantime, there is no telling what new menace Nursery is making, or quite possibly has already unleashed. Nursery is a war fortification about the size of a small moon (About 20 miles in diameter) that has various production facilities for creating humanoid mobile weaponry, although most of them are simple gunner droids made to swarm targets en masse. Most of these droids are simple, firing basic ballistic shots, however there are stronger versions that have generally any feasible weapon from flamethrowers to giant laser cannons. Their movement is not limited either, while many of them are designed to be foot soldiers, there are many models that can fly and a good handful that move by teleportation. (PL 8-12 Grunts of various flavor, ranging from Turrets to Laser Spheres to various Rifle toting Androids) Statwise, Nursery's hull is probably around PL 16 or 18 with No Defense (Base of 10) and Full Toughness (32~36) with an equal amount of Impervious. Someone who would try to just attack Nursery from the outside would be performing an exercise in futility, as while the outside defenses would surely get fried, within time (~1 minute) new emplacements would be put out. If they do have the power to actually outclass Nursery's Toughness, then they can put a well deserved hole into the hull that the players can enter through. Walls within Nursery can be blasted down, but generally only two or three will go at a time, even against the strongest blasts. Teleportation functions within Nursery, however it only does so in very small increments (Rank x 10' Only) due to the massive spatial field that surrounds Nursery. This field is extremely noticeable, as it gives biological entities a very nauseous feeling once they enter it, however it is not enough to grant any penalties. It uses this same field to eject unwanted visitors, and will do so once something is identified as a threat (Teleport to Outside, No Save). Players who make their way through Nursery via navigating its corridors average a landspeed of about 10 mph and reach the core in about an hour, dealing with numerous but sparse enemy forces. Players who blast their way through average a speed of about 30mph reaching the core in about twnety minutes, but they fight much thicker groups of enemies. There are several "boss" encounters within Nursery, the first of which would be Clarino, a maid-outfitted guide android turned combat monkey. She has many similar attacks to Reminisce as well as a Burst Mode that creates two phantom copies of Clarino that can attack, but can't be harmed. Clarino herself doesn't use Villain Points, but she'll Auto-Ressurect upon defeat to use her Burst. Once beaten again, Clarino will offer minimal help without actually being able to take actions, wanting to stay that way until Nursery is taken out, lest she lose control of herself again. The boss following that would be the Laser Cannon, which would be the only route to Nursery's Central Core. The cannon itself doesn't move, is Extremely Tough, and uses the Boss HP System. The cannon fires every other turn, using a turn to cool off. If the players don't elect to find cover (Move action to hide, unable to attack via line of sight, Indirect or Homing would work) they'll be facing a DC 30 Reflex Save and Toughness Save 35. There are also several turrets (4~8) that act as defense for the laser, they have paltry Boss HP and can fire homing missiles and lasers.
